fine art: Specific types of art which includes painting, sculpture, dance and theater.

Frida Kahlo: Mexican female painter who employed symbolism and surrealism in her work and was known for her revolutionary and communist opinions.

Gary Indiana: An American writer who was an art critic in New York during the 1980s.

Georgia O'Keefe: An American female painter known for her scenes of the Southwestern United States and flowers which could sometimes be viewed as abstract images.

graffiti: Images marked on property; a movement which came to be recognized as art in the late 1970s with the emergence of Jean Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring.

guerilla art: Also known as "street art," guerilla art is created and displayed quickly and without government permits; may include graffiti, video projections, stickers or the installation of objects.

H.R. Giger: A Swiss-born artist whose work is considered to be in the area of surrealism, but has also been described as biomechanical and fetishistic; best known for his design of the title character from the 1980 "Alien" movie.
